Dr.Steven R. Nelson
Dr. Nelson was raised in Greeley Colorado where he attended local elementary school. During his teenage years he lived in Malawi, Africa, with his parents.
Dr.Nelson's father was a dentist and his mother was a nurse who did missionary work in Africa.Upon arriving back in the U.S. he completed his undergraduate
studies at Loma Linda University La Sierra Campus, with a BA degree in Biology. Dr.Nelson continued with his dental education, graduating in 1983 with his D.D.S
degree from Loma Linda School of Dentistry.
In addition to the California State Board, Dr.Nelson has also been certified by the Western Regional Dental Board. He has been practicing all
facets of dentistry here in Temecula since opening his practice in 1986. He takes pride in advancing with the latest techniques and material through continuing education.
On a personal note:
Dr.Nelson is dedicated to helping the less fortunate by volunteering his time in Malawi,Africa, Mexico and Vietnam along with helping the children of our valley by providing
no cost dental care in partnership with Project Smile. Dr.Nelson and his wife Linda , moved to Temecula in 1986, where they raised their two children Matt and Kim (who is
one of our Hygienists). Some of his favorite pastimes are exploring the Anasazi ruins, hiking the John Muir Trail, mountain biking, backpacking and trail running.
